The American Leadership Project, an independent group raising large donations to support Clinton, is running two ads in Texas praising her health care plan. One misrepresents what FactCheck.org said about her plan. Another plucks a positive phrase, movie review-style, from a decidedly mixed analysis.

The first ad says FactCheck.org said that “Hillary Clinton’s healthcare plan would help every American get affordable, quality health care” while Obama’s plan would leave millions without coverage. What we actually said is that Clinton’s plan also “would leave out a million people or perhaps more.”

The second ad quotes The Washington Post as saying Clinton’s plan “beats anything else out there.” It could also have quoted the same article by a business columnist as saying that her plan contains features that are “bad tax policy and bad health policy” and that she was presenting her plan as “the health-care equivalent of a free lunch.”

We cannot get this vital information without the cooperation of private companies.”

I think a new leader would be easier.

SHAME ON YOU HILLARY!

She first talks trash and then tries ticket.

Yes the “disloyal democrat” is hinting her hail mary’s to form a joint ticket with Obama saying “That may be where this is headed but of course, we have to decide who is on the top of ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me.”

And I think the 27 out of 41 states and 156 delegates Team Obama has ahead of you says HELL NO!

For his part, the gentleman that he is, Obama’s replied “I think it is very premature to start talking about a joint ticket.”

Any notion of a possible clinton-obama ticket screeches November Nightmare in my ears. Polarizing Phony and Principled Politician don’t belong anywhere near the same ticket.

Let’s break it down here a bit:

Once upon a time, a not so long time ago, a medium of marvel was born and it was named The Internet.

Like the California Goldrush of the 19th century, thousands flocked to the unclaimed territories that then defined the lands of The Internet and began to construct their own castles, countries, continents and, inadvertently, Virtual Realty.

Flash-forward 10 or so years. People are pissed they opted out and passed on history’s greatest investment and instead of getting even (strike 2 for poor judgement), they’re getting mad and if this bill passes, they maybe getting your domains.

The capitalistic haters have lobbied some sneaky language into a consumer-voter-friendly Anti- Phishing Bill (strike 3 for poor ethics) that targets the rightful owners of generic domain names. According to their press release (strike 4 for poor publicity) part of the bill addresses  the “practice of using deceptive Web site domain names, which appear confusingly similar to well-known businesses’ Web site addresses, and may be used to facilitate phishing attacks and deceptive spam attacks, or to divert consumers from their intended on-line destinations to Web sites peddling unrelated or objectionable goods and services, including those harmful to minors.”

Problema #1 – Vague. Very Vague. Which brings us to

Problema #2- Muchas Problemas!

Ok so trademarked typos and child-typos-linked-to-porno is always a no-no, but what about the average joe? 

Say you own city-name.com, not .org or .gov but .com. Boom out of business?

Or say you own any-name.com for that matter and someone opens open a physical business before having the brights to register the-or-similar-business-name.com. Boom out of business?

This is just bad economics and even worse ethics.

Economically speaking, if this bill passes how many people do you think will be buying, selling, our just even registering domains?

As for society’s double standards on intellectual property, just like individuals are asked to check on trademarked businesses before they register a domain name, those prospective business owners should do a double check on their own and decided: a) dang! beat me to it but I’ll try to buy it from the current owner or b) tough luck charlie guess I’ll think up a new name.

My friends, (mccain should tm this one) as I wrap up the vent of the day I encourage you all to STOP SNOWE and contact your lawmakers  and tell ‘em to nay this one down.
